How are you conducting sessions during the Covid-19 pandemic? I am conducting telehealth (virtual) sessions at this time. Some in- person treatments have resumed for those with severe anxiety conditions, soley at my discretion. This will be addressed after your intake process is complete.
What kind of therapy do you do?
I am a cognitive behavioral therapist using CBT and DBT. I diagnose and treat a broad range of complex issues, specializing in diagnosing and treating moderate to severe anxiety and the disorders that occur simultaneously along with with it such as depression. I also provide counseling for other problems of life that are occurring along side anxiety such as relationships, low self- esteem, career changes, intimacy issues and grief. I have a combined experience of over 16 years working in the mental health field with adults, teens and children. I believe in evidence-based practice which means I mix science with compassion and understanding to give you the most up to date, comprehensive treatment possible. I give you effective personalized skills and treatments you need to change your life and a safe non-judgemental space to explore new thinking and behavior in areas you want to grow or change.
Do you bill insurance? What insurance do you accept? I courtesy bill Providence and United health plans. Ask me about your specific insurance benefits if you have questions- emailing is the quickest way to get this information. Please email a copy of your insurance card front and back/ birthdate/ home address and you will be contacted within 24-48 hours. I do not accept Medicare/ Medicaid/ OHP.
What about Medication?
There are many conditions, especially anxiety, when medication is a key component in treatment. I work closely with medication prescribers and will provide referrals and consults with these professionals when needed to optimize treatment.
How can I get counseling or treatment if I am too busy or unable to come to your office in person due to my job, small children, traveling or not living in Portland?
I offer a variety of ways in which you can access counseling sessions to allow almost every person the ability to have therapy almost anywhere in the world. All you need is a computer and some privacy. I offer VSEE sessions which is a HIPPA approved form of remote computer sessions so you can access therapy from anywhere there is internet.
